The Best Rock 'N Roll Vacation EVER

I know, I know. It's been WAY too long since I've posted anything on here. In my defense, I've been really busy. The holidays were crazy with family and friends and crappy snow. Then I went on vacation.

This was no normal vacation. Oh no my friends, we went on the Simple Man Cruise. What's the Simple Man Cruise you ask? Well, I was stuck on a cruise ship for four days with Lynyrd Skynyrd and a few other choice southern rock bands. It was amazing.


Could it possibly get any better? Yes, yes it can. Not only did I get to hang out on a boat with Southern Rock royalty, but I also got engaged. I mean seriously...I get to tell my future kids and grandkids that I got engaged while I was on the Lynyrd Skynyrd Simple Man Cruise! If that's not a rock 'n roll proposal, I don't know what is.




We took an off shore excursion in Mexico to see some Mayan ruins. When we made it to the last ruin, my boyfriend, Greg, ran up the front of the ruin and told me to follow. I got half way up, realized how steep the steps were and decided to go back down. Greg kept encouraging me to keep climbing up, and our friends on the ground kept telling me to get to the top so they could take our picture. After wrestling with my demons, I decided to make the trek to the top because when's the next time I'll be able to climb a Mayan ruin? So when I got to the top, I thought we were getting our picture taken, but Greg got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I just cried and cried and cried. It was quite beautiful.





So now that the holiday chaos has passed and my vacation is over, hopefully I can get back into the swing of things and get back to my wonderful blog. Of course, I do have to start wedding planning now. Not just normal wedding planning...oh no. It's rock 'n roll wedding planning of course!
